COAST BUSCOAST (Commission on Aging Senior Transit)

Have you heard?  We are partnering with BATA to provide a bus exclusively for Commission on Aging  clients, (Grand Traverse County residents aged 60 years and older), with door to door service.

Our 90 day pilot becomes operational on November 13, 2017, and during the pilot period, rides will be free.  During this pilot period, the bus will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  You can start contacting BATA 11/8/17 to schedule a ride.

So, "How do I do this", you ask:

  1. Become a Commission on Aging client by contacting us at: 520 W. Front Street, Suite B., Traverse City, MI.  Or, call us at 231-922-4688.
  2. Provide us with proof that you are a resident of Grand Traverse County and aged 60 years or older.
  3. Call BATA to schedule your ride at 231-941-2324.
If you are already a Commission on Aging client who has purchased transportation coupons or BATA passes.  We have already provided your information to BATA for the COAST bus.
